Building: the 80s apartment building (stone and concrete panels)

Extent of works: The apartment was stripped down to the bare structure – all the interior finishes, electric, and plumbing were completely redone. The ceilings had to be opened, and the gaps between the concrete panels refilled. The walls, ceilings, and some parts of the floors needed heavy levelling work. Insulation for sound and cold was added. Wardrobes, all interior doors, wall panels, and kitchen furniture were custom-built. The apartment was fully furnished, and all the artwork was handpicked.

Finishes, furniture, textiles, art: solid hardwood flooring from oak, small herringbone pattern; oak and glass interior doors; wardrobe doors and wall panels with wood veneer layer; handmade furniture from rosewood, oak, and mango wood; microcement walls in the bathroom; quartz and granite wet surfaces; wool carpet (320 kpsi), silk carpet (1200 kpsi); artwork – 5 acrylic paintings, 3 charcoal drawings, 1 handmade print.

Experience: design and decorating + full project management from start to finish, including budgeting, timelines and scheduling, communication and planning with the contractor and electricians, managing custom orders for furniture and doors, procurement and purchase management (searching vendors, communicating, tracking, receiving, storing, setting up), site visits, and documentation.
